Architecture In Motion: The Red Centre

My Concept

My aim is to express to the viewer, the essence of the Red Centre and the Faculty of Built Environment. I decided that Drawing best represents the students here and what it is we do.

In the movie I have told a story of the Red Centre in the language of Architecture-through plans, sections and elevations.

The movie attempts to make a connection between the stories told by each type of drawing through the animation of a single sheet of paper-as its content and layout changes.

Finally the animation links the 2D drawings to a 3D image of the Red Centre in Perspective, as seen in reality.

Through Architect drawings, that is the fabric of communication here at the Red Centre; this animation hopes to make an impression of what Architecture at UNSW is all about.
